The oldest evidence of horse breeding in Patagonia has been discovered

Burn marks and fractures were identified on the bones of young females, suggesting that some were cooked and eaten. Previous studies have provided other evidence that Europeans who settled in Patagonia in the 1800s consumed horse meat.
