Factors of dementia at an early age have been identified

Lower levels of education, lower socioeconomic status, genetic variability, unhealthy lifestyles including alcohol abuse and social isolation, and health problems including vitamin D deficiency, depression, stroke, hearing impairment and heart disease were found to significantly increase the risk of early dementia.

It has previously been reported that lowering cholesterol esters helps prevent the brain damage caused by tau protein deposition and that occurs in Alzheimer’s disease.
